Perfection does not exist

The pursuit of perfection can, in most cases, lead us to become unfair, whether to others or even to ourselves. That's why achieving perfection can often be somewhat absurd in most cases because it's simply impossible, unless it's a mathematical or scientific equation, though even that remains debatable.
The very beauty stereotypes that society has imposed on us have confused us so much that many have gone to the extreme of changing their physical features because they don't feel comfortable; there is no real acceptance of who they are, whether due to past bullying, family criticism of not being enough, or comments from a friend or ex-partner that left a lasting mark.
Pursuing perfection can lead us to the ridiculous idea that this is how we will be accepted, and it turns out that whether others accept you or not, the one who really needs to accept themselves is you as a being; otherwise, all the mental and physical effort is for nothing.
—I knew someone who was constantly striving for perfection; everything had to be perfect, well-presented, as were her clothes and makeup, her house, and everything around her.
One day, she began to notice the natural asymmetry of her own body, something she had never noticed before, as she had always thought she looked perfect. She began to see that her eyes weren't the same size, nor were her ears, her legs, or the nostrils of her nose. So she decided to see a surgeon to correct what was out of balance. The surgeon, upon seeing her, asked: Why do you want to adjust your body so much? To which she replied: To make it perfectly balanced. The surgeon told her: But it's already perfect; your body is well-endowed and athletic; I don't see that imperfection you claim to have here or there.
Bodies are asymmetrical; there lies their perfection. So too is nature itself: trees, clouds, flowers, and all of creation. To be perfect is to include small doses of imperfection, and that is something wonderful because it makes us unique as individuals. Here is a lovely video that I want to share. It is an acoustic cover version of the song "Beautiful", written by Linda Perry, and played by one of the greatest rock bands in Germany: AnnenMayKantereit. This song expresses the importance of loving yourself as you are and embracing the beauty in you. So, accept yourself with all your flaws. Love yourself more, learn to find the virtue within you; there lies the beginning of true love.
All beings are beautiful, without exception. All beings.
